Is this one of those things where Rachael Ray gave away a “wedding of a lifetime” amusement park gift package to six lucky couples who watch her show? Is it being televised? Or are these six couple all just friends from college who wanted to get dressed up in their wedding attire and ride a few rollercoasters on a Saturday afternoon? Both seem equally plausible.

I assume they all got slushies and went on a few water rides after this. Also, is that like the kiddie ride? Step it up, couples!!!

I’m kind of loving this. It’s just the right amount of “WTF?” to become a conversation piece. First you notice the bow, like the baker won a contest on the way over to drop off the cake at the reception. Then your eyes make their way up to the top of the cake…and then the other cake…and it’s like, whoa, did you guys really request that? You put a cake on your cake so you can eat cake while you eat cake in miniature fondant cake topper form? That is META, y’all. I give this cake 2 regular thumbs and 2 mini-me thumbs up!

The Swedish airline carrier Scandinavian Airlines has announced plans to host a same-sex marriage aboard a flight on December 6. It will be the first-ever in-flight gay wedding, and the airline “is busy searching for the perfect same-sex couple to walk down the airborne aisle.” The ceremony will be performed in business class and in Swedish air space, where gay marriage is legal.

I mean, if she was going for the cotton candy “look,” then she totally nailed it. She has just the right amount of pink poof to pull it off. But if she wasn’t modeling herself on the delicious sticky sugar treat, well…then I don’t understand this. It’s like a prom dress that Julia Allison might wear. And that is not a compliment.

Sigh. Now I’m in the mood for overpriced rides and funnel cake. Thanks a lot, lady.

It’s times like these that I am extra-impressed with today’s cake technology. How awesome is that digitally accurate edible photo of the Stargate?! Obviously symbolic of all of the other-worldly explorations the couple plans to get into…if you know what I’m sayin’! Bow chicka wow wow. Score one for the nerds!

Ah, so now we have an explanation for this post — I get it! I love it when things come full circle. I should have thought of it already, considering the rash of retail weddings going around these days.

To that end, don’t think of this couple marrying at Walmart as cheap or redneck; think of them as trendy. They’re ahead of the curve. Not only do they get to recite their vows in their favorite store, but they can get an eye exam, “professional” wedding portraits and a large basket of nachos on the way out. That’s not trashy — it’s just good sense!

Pizza love is one of the strongest kinds of love there is. It’s up there with puppies and rainbows. Especially when it has pepperoni on it, and especially when that pepperoni has been cut into little letters that form to spell the word “forever.” Do I want to take your greasy hand and walk down the aisle to a life full of smiles, kisses and marinara sauce? YES. I DO.

That being said, the letters aren’t in a particularly awesome font, which disappoints me. Fellas, you gotta do better than basic alphabet soup letters on a Pizza Proposal. Get into some fancy sh*t, like a brush script. Just a simple piece of advice.
