There are no real viable excuses left for shredding someone else’s attempt at fidelity, I feel so badly for the groom. If you excuse the behaviour it’s probably because you can see yourself in this act which is why your being defensive for her! May you never be hurt by this kind of person who lets their organs dictate how to act, never minding the deep hurt it can cause. These are called “vows” for a reason, you take the vow not just with your marriage mate but with God watching and witnessing “till death do you part” Abominable to cheapen the value of that heavy responsibility marriage carries, just to inflate one’s “look what I can still do”!
