That’s a train, not a veil. If you look at the picture, she wore a wreath of flowers, not a veil.

The story behind this has something to do with showing your wealth by the length of the train. Some cultures are silly, but I guess other places could say that about us!

It bothers me that the dress is off-white and the veil is white. If you’re gonna do this, at least get matching fabric.

I believe that is a train, if it were a veil it would not be opaque. I guess this alleviates the whole problem of who is to be in the wedding party… EVERYONE is.
