OR is she deathly terrified of cake? I’m going to pretend that’s what it is.
I think the first bride is about to remember this day for the death of her father after she savagely rips the train out from under his feet throwing him to the floor and cracking his skull… ah happy memories!
I like to think the second bride had dieted like crazy to get into that slinky dress and after spying the fork, opens her mouth ridiculously wide because all she has in her head is the scream “CAAAAAAAKE!!!”

What it really is, the new Bridegroom is asking her if she can still open her mouth wide.
