Funny Wedding Photos - Wedding Sponsored By Hi-Liter

I thought the bride typically wants to put the focus on herself. How’s that supposed to happen when her bridesmaids’ dresses were inspired by troll dolls and look like giant, poofy tie-dye disasters?

Is that why the bride had to add that star headpiece she found in her box of old Christmas decorations? It, um, helps.

    Oh my! There must be 100′s of yards of puff in all those dresses. How will the bride sit? Also – is it just me or does the groom look about 12?

    • bridgie says:

      can u lot stop please…i will have to tke this further if u dnt delete these terrible comments……. i will need to report this website… as i am a traveller and find this very much offensive

  2. Elle says:

    Is it just the picture quality, or is there something off about the groomsmen’s faces?

  3. Luka says:

    It almost takes the focus away from horrible, horrible tanning on maid of honour on far right. Almost.

  4. RayRay says:

    Maybe the bride is a fairy princess and her star allows her to fly!?!

  5. Eadaion says:

    I saw this on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding last night! :O She is sixteen and got engaged on her birthday. She is an Irish traveller and the two met a wedding themselves. Big outrageous dresses are the norm for travellers. Looked cute on TV cos they really love each other.

  6. Eadaoin says:

    She also designed the dress herself. Which explains the star.

  7. Eadaoin says:

    I saw this on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding last night! :O She is a sixteen year old Irish traveller and designed the dress herself (Which explains the star). They looked very happy : )

  8. GishTown says:

    Oh boy, now that’s got me anticipating a flood of travellers recklessly defending their wedding practices.

    I just wanna say, GIRLS, *please* you look so much prettier in your natural skin colour. Don’t paint over it, it can be bad for the skin, and it’s not just you. Trust me, I’m as pale as a ghost, and I’ve travelled around a bit. Women are much prettier in their own naturality.

  9. Fanboy Wife says:

    @MPMommy
    With all that fabric, I bet the bride is sitting. There’s a chair built into that skirt!

  10. Quark says:

    I can just imagine the bride has an mobility scooter under her dress – one press of a button and she glides effortlessly across the courtyard with ease.

  11. aMo says:

    @MPMommy
    It’s a traditional Gypsy wedding, both the bride and groom are around 16-17 which is very typical sadly!

  12. Sarge says:

    The whole point of a brides-maid dress is to look bad so as to make the bride look better by comparison: Compared to you in an ugly dress the bride looks a bit better now, doesn’t she? Never mind how good you would otherwise look: That’s not the point of this exercise. The wedding isn’t about the bridesmaid, after all: It’s all about the bride.

    Just be thankful that it’s not traditional to make the bridesmaid wear a pickle barrel and a potato sack.

  13. Skadi says:

    I’m so lame that I actually think those hi-liter dresses are pretty. :(

  14. Lily says:

    I actually like that shade of green … just not on those dresses.

  15. Gwhizzy says:

    And you know she totally told the bridesmaids they would be able to wear those dresses again. Just not with the 5 yards of tulle on their heads. That would be silly.

  16. Sarah says:

    I’m pretty sure a lot of these huge poofy dress teenage girl pictures on here are travellers. That’s just the norm for them, I guess its a cultural thing we dont get…? But then again since they are between like 14 and 17 when this happens, it makes sense since that would be the hight of “I AM the princess, I will get my way” stage of being a teenage girl.

  17. GishTown says:

    @Gwhizzy
    Well, if they got a job in Disneyland Paris; sure.
    Othewise, they’d better know a great seamstress to make them everyday wear.

    I’m just amazed here that such dresses can be heavy enough to leave actual scars and blisters. The agony of fashion, really, even amongst teenagers.

  18. Atlantabelle says:

    The bride must have been inspired to design those bridesmaid dresses while eating Trix yogurt!

  19. Amber says:

    The crazy thing is I think the colors are gorgeous. Not on those girls, but just by themselves.

  20. Amber says:

    @Sarge
    Luckily some of us brides don’t believe in that anymore. A lot of us are having the girls pick their own dresses (we still pick the colors, though).

  21. goatgirl says:

    oh i seen that too. the best bit was when her parents had to physically pull her out of the carriage because the dress was so big.

    and as much as i like those colours, those dresses are an eyesore….

  22. DrPluton says:

    Failures in this photo:
    The glow-in-the-dark bridesmaids’ dresses.
    The gigantic train on the dresses (especially the bride’s).
    The fake tan on the girl to the far right.
    The star on the bride’s head.
    The white tuxedo on the groom (I hate white tuxedos).
    The blue feather duster attached to the older woman’s hair.
    Also, the couple to the far right is posing closer to the camera than everybody else in what I think of as the “prom position.”

    Did I catch them all?

  23. s says:

    the star on her head makes more sense once you see the dress closer up. the top layer of tulle on the brides dress has a star pattern all over it. At least shes matching….?

  24. ewgfewag says:

    @s
    I thought it was bubble wrap. :D

  25. Jami says:

    What I want to know is how the heck Travelers can afford such expensive weddings when they don’t have steady work and little to no education.

  26. dllo says:

    The weddings aren’t typically that expensive in terms of catering and venue hire. The girls and their families save money from when they are very young to pay for the wedding dresses.

    Very few travellers actually ‘travel’ now, and most will have steady incomes, regardless what the tabloids would have you believe.

  27. Quark says:

    There’s a newspaper article titled “The gipsy blings” which has a picture of the dress close up. Being 22 is considered “old” for getting married.

  28. Amy says:

    I bet they are so excited Ron Weasly is one of the groom’s men!

  29. Erin says:

    @MPMommy

    they were on TV last week both looked about 12 (they’re actually 16) and if you think this dress was bad you should of seen the others :)

  30. Erin says:

    @Quark

    she wasn’t the 22 year old, she’s 16, the 22 year olds dress was much bigger and sluttier :D

  31. Lilith_Nocturn says:

    That bride is a bitch for making them wear those things.

  32. Pam says:

    believe it or not our local wedding shop window just displayed dresses in those very colors!! but the dresses were much more sleekly cut. in the window, the color combo looked magical – like something from a mermaid wedding.

  33. Shav says:

    My big fat gypsy wedding:

  34. bellefemmeici says:

    If they get married that young, do they usually stay together?

  35. Ana says:

    I NEVER want to see those colors near a red head again.

  36. Kara says:

    >.> I want one of those bridesmaid dresses. I’ll have zero occasion to wear it but it’s a special sort of awesome.

  37. rosalyn says:

    The bride has polka dots on her skirt. Good god.

  38. Elizabeth says:

    agly dreeses I ( but slim lades) agree . What about fit american dresses agly fat body).Dear this is reality here.

  39. pepsibookcat says:

    OK, Supercrispy on the left has demon horns sprouting from his forehead. The groom looks to be about 15. 2nd from right will be dead of skin cancer within 2 years. The bridesmaids’ fascinators look as though they came out of the secret fetish stash in Camilla Parker Bowles’s closet. And, the bride’s headpiece… oh…. *shakes head*… really, there aren’t words.

    The florescent gowns are by no means the most disturbing things in this picture.

  40. your mother says:

    is that ron weasly?

  41. Colin says:

    I think I’m blind.

  42. Maureen says:

    honestly..what the heck are they suppose to do with those dresses after the ceremony? There are people in this world that needs sheets to stay warm or bars that needs bright colors to entice “FUN” to their business!

  43. bridgie says:

    sorry but i may have to report this website….so please if u dnt wnt this to go further……… THEN STOP PLEASE…….and can u delete these terrible comments………………………..
