Anybody want to help me out in the comments and report if these cake toppers have actual names? From what I can tell, they’re non-specific nerdbots (as I call them) from Kid Robot or some such place. They’re rather adorable. But I don’t know what they ARE. Bride and groom robot army enthusiasts? Planet defenders? They’re ‘more’ than your average robot cake toppers, from what I can tell, but hey what do I know? (Answer: nothing.)

WTF is this, an unconventional photo spread in Modern Bride titled ‘Darth Vader At Home: Pulling Back The Curtain’? “And here we have the sitting room, where Mr. Vader spends much of his time reading, working on his stamp collection and staring up at his beloved mural of the Death Star.”

Sigh. He should give his model bride her top back.

Ah, yes, Ye Olde Traditional Ass Grab I.D. game. It’s an old family favorite at weddings. You line up the groom and all of his groomsmen (and if that includes your brother or cousin, so be it), give the bride about 20 or so quick spins, and then place her hands on each guy’s rear end until she guesses correctly. SO MUCH FUN.

Did she really have to stick her tongue out? How was that necessary for the shot? And who came up with this idea? It’s one thing to hire a photographer with a sense of humor…it’s another to hire one whose last gig was photo editor for Hustler’s “amateur section” (you know the one). This picture kind of frightens me.

I’m not going to lie and say I understand what’s happening in this picture, because I really have no freaking clue. But hey, at least the family is supportive! I can spot a couple of angels, a devil, a sorcerer…who is that in the back? God? How thoughtful of Him to stop by. I’m also convinced this picture was taken on the steps of my former college’s library, but that’s probably because 90% of all libraries and courthouses look exactly the same. Quite the juxtaposition if you think of it that way. I guess you’ve got to make your wedding stand out in some way.

So, um…yeah. How ’bout that World Cup?! Lots of great matches so far! Oh yeah, and these guys are wearing sheer tulle skirts with briefs, socks, headpieces and loafers while holding hands. No biggie.

My only question is, where the hell was this picture taken? The bachelor party? The ceremony? Is it a version of Red Rover that I never played? It seems both serious and comical all at once. Someone enlighten me, please.

…And the line between ghetto and ghetto fabulous once again gets blurred. How did she even put her dress on without tearing it?!  They really need to start making velcro nails for situations like this. Just apply a little hook fabric to the nails and treat them like industrial Lee Press-Ons. That way women like this bride can do things like get dressed, eat food, drive a car and use the bathroom without needing assistance. Good luck to the groom on the “feeding each other wedding cake” photo opp. Scary.

When you’ve reached the point where you’re basically treating your wedding gown like a box of tissues the day has gone very, very wrong.  Could there be anything more depressing than a wet, forlorn bride standing alone on an urban street? Doubtful. This chick needs to hit a seedy dive bar pronto, if not for the bottom shelf tequila then at least for the bad karaoke.

I thought the space underneath the bride’s dress was also known as the Forbidden City. ZING! Seriously, though, is this an ancient tradition I’m unfamiliar with? Is it like impersonating a Chinese dragon in a parade? Or does the bride have an art school background with a focus in paper-mâché? I’m genuinely confused. But hey, at least the groom’s excited about it.

That looks really……special. I don’t know how a ring that big fit on that tiny little pillow, but I’m pretty sure that’s beside the point. The real point is: WTF is going on here? Is anyone else sadistically reminded of the Lindsay Lohan/Vanessa Minnillo photo shoot? Why is the groom the only one allowed in formal wear?? So many questions.
